QC INSPECTOR
 
Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming PET flakes, and additives for contamination, color, and moisture content.
Collect in-process samples at defined intervals and perform visual, physical, and laboratory tests.
Ensure correct separation, washing, and drying performance during the recycling process.
Test and verify PET flakes or pellets for contamination, moisture, IV (Intrinsic Viscosity), and bulk density.
Approve or reject batches based on quality standards and customer requirements.
Maintain inspection records and test results.
Prepare daily quality reports and communicate non-conformances to production.
Report any machine abnormalities affecting quality to the maintenance or production team.
Follow all plant safety and PPE requirements.
Maintain cleanliness in the QC laboratory and work area.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
Minimum 2-3 years of QC experience in PET recycling, extrusion, or plastic processing.
Familiar with testing equipment such as moisture analyzers, IV testers, and colorimeters.
Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.
Understanding of PET recycling and extrusion processes.
Communication and teamwork.
Awareness of ISO and quality compliance standards.
