The QAPI (Quality Assurance Performance Improvement) Specialist role involves ensuring high standards ofhealthcare quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety through data analysis, process improvement, and staffeducation. Key responsibilities include analyzing quality data, conducting audits, assisting with performanceimprovement activities, and providing training to staff to improve compliance outcomes. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze credentialing and operational data to identify trends, measure
performance, and report on key quality indicators to leadership.
Compliance and Auditing: Perform regular audits of candidate records and credentialing
processes to ensure adherence to internal policies, client requirements and Joint Commissionstandards, as well as federal and state regulations.
Education Support: Provide education and feedback to Credentialing and Compliance
Department team members on quality standards, best practices, client requirements, the JointCommission Standards, and regulatory requirements.
Strategic Support: Support company-wide quality initiatives and assist in maintaining a culture of
continuous improvement across all departments.
Collaboration: Collaborate with various Cynet Health departments and staff to address and
improve quality issues.
Performance Improvement Activities: Participate in performance improvement activities as
assigned to include focus audits, satisfaction survey activities, candidate performance evaluationactivities, The Joint Commission performance measure activities, etc.Qualifications
Experience: Credentialing experience in healthcare staffing, with a specific focus on quality
assurance, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance is essential.
Regulatory knowledge: A strong understanding of healthcare compliance and regulations is crucial.
Attention to detail: Meticulousness is required for accurately verifying and documenting information.
Organizational skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain records, and meet deadlines is critical.
Computer proficiency: Strong computer skills are necessary for data entry, database management, auditing,
and research.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed for interacting
with staff, providers, and other stakeholders.
Minimum of 2 years of applicable work experience in related field.
