Qualifications
With relevant senior level experience in Quality Control/ Quality Assurance in food manufacturing
At least 4-5 years of experience with food safety standards
Background in the coconut industry is an advantage
Knowledgeable on Philippine FDA, Halal, Kosher, USFDA, ISO22000/ISO TS22002-1 certifications
Team management experience
Willing to work in Lipa, Batangas
Job Summary
Responsible for the technical management, maintenance and development of new and existing production lines within a wide range of manufacturing industries.
Responsible for staffing and leading technical team, ensuring assigned project goals and objectives are achieved.
Responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance.
Responsibilities
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing product specification; confirming manufacturing processes.
Investigate, propose, and manage new product development efforts or product updates.
Review technical reports and recommend modifications or adjustments in order to meet specifications.
Coordinate with Marketing to create and release Product Requirement Documents for assigned product ideas.
Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing quality, and customer requirements; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Provides overall leadership and direction to the Quality Assurance department for the effective execution of all QA procedures and activities such as sampling, testing and approval or rejection of raw materials and finished products against given quality and food safety specifications and standards.
Plans and ensures proper execution of all QA activities that includes sampling, testing and approval or rejection of raw materials and finished goods in accordance with the given specifications.
Organizes and facilitates company's certificate requirements - regulatory and customer (Philippine FDA, Halal, Kosher, USFDA, ISO22000/ISO TS22002-1
Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time by the superior.
