Get To Know The Role
 
As a Quality Assurance Software Engineer at uParcel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and overall quality of our software products. You will collaborate closely with our ground team to identify, report, and track issues, as well as work to prevent defects in our software solutions. You will lead in designing automated testing protocol and manage our CI/CD processes. Your efforts will contribute to enhancing the user experience and maintaining the company's reputation for excellence.
 
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, design specifications, and user stories.
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
Identify and document software defects, inconsistencies, and issues using bug tracking systems.
Perform thorough regression testing to ensure that defects are resolved and new features are integrated seamlessly.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on design and functionality from a quality perspective.
Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize software performance.
Work closely with developers to reproduce and debug reported issues, providing detailed information for resolution.
Collaborate with the product team to define acceptance criteria and ensure alignment with user expectations.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in logistics, AI, and automation, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in our solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
3 or more years experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or in a similar QA role.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle and QA methodologies.
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques and tools.
Familiarity with bug tracking systems and version control systems.
Solid programming skills, with experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with performance testing and load testing is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a bonus.
