PV ENGINEER
DUTIES:
Support project management & business development for projects in the commercial rooftop pipeline
Verify initial system layout and solar rooftop feasibility specified by Business Development Team Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of commercial solar power systems.
Able to check site feasibility and provide the best suitable option for enhancing suitability.
Develop design specifications and functional requirements for commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.
Preparation of concept system designs for PV projects including: site plans, single-line electrical drawings, technical specification, interconnection details, bill of materials
Interface and provide streamlined project information
Responsible for operational level understanding of the requirement of the client/customer, Site Visits, Site feasibility & Solar Systems Design and complete execution.
Review specifications and recommend engineering changes to achieve solar design objectives.
Understand the optimal design applications and design limitations of frequently used solar materials and lead the evaluation of alternate products
Maintain design and proposal requirements, compliance to local codes and standards, design procedures, methods and process
Support on the review the costs of structural estimates, interconnection, permitting agreements, production estimates, and assessment of commercial risk factors.
Maintaining of files and documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists.
Manage outside consultants involve in the project
Improve efficiency of project development and project selection process
Provide project manager and business development with engineering support as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
At least 5 years of solid experience in renewable energy specializing in PV rooftop and ground-mount
Strong knowledge of photovoltaic system design, estimating and optimizing solar PV system components for energy production.
Competent AutoCAD and PV Syst skills and PV software working knowledge eg: SolarGIS, HelioScope,
Knowledge of electrical and structural design components and its suppliers
Experience in value engineering of photovoltaic and constructions projects
Working technical knowledge on local codes for Solar PV installation, NEC requirements, construction practices
Strong communication, presentation and project management skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Self-disciplined and must be good in prioritizing tasks and coordination
Strong verbal / written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously
