We are in urgent need of:
PURCHASING SUPERVISOR
We are looking for a Licensed Mechanical/Civil Engineer with 2 - 3 years of purchasing experience to supervise our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge of mechanical system with procurement skills to source materials, manage vendors, and ensure cost-effective, timely delivery of goods- all while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Procurement: Source, evaluate, and purchase mechanical components, equipment and raw materials based on engineering specifications and project requirements.
Team Supervision: Lead and mentor a small team of purchasing staff, assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and conducting performance reviews.
Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers; assess vendor performance and maintain strong relationships.
Cost Optimization: Analyze market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
Compliance & Quality: Verify that purchased items meet technical standards, safety regulations, and company quality policies.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, reconcile invoices, and generate monthly reports on procurement activities, costs, and vendor performance for management.
Cross Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with finance to align purchasing plans with project timelines and financial goals.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Licensure: Valid PME license from PRC.
Experience: 2 years of proven accounts payable experience in a corporate setting.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and bills of materials (BOMs).
Knowledge of supply chain management principles, contract law, and Philippine tax/trade regulations.
