One of the fastest growing Healthcare Service Provider in Cavite, Human Resources Management and Development Department invites competent individuals to fill in the Purchasing Staff position here in Our Lady of the Pillar Medical Center.
Job Description:
The Purchasing Staff is primarily responsible in assisting and supporting the Purchasing Supervisor in the overall functions and aspects of purchasing, providing quality and reliable medical supplies, equipment, medicines and services required for the hospital's daily operation.
Technical Skills
Performs field canvassing and purchasing.
Conducts research on products and vendors through phone or internet.
Processes Purchase Orders and forwards it to Hospital Administrator for approval.
Inspects and witnesses delivered items limited to office and medical equipment if it conforms to quantity, quality and specifications in the Purchase Order with the presence of Property personnel and end user.
Performs other function that may be assigned by Purchasing Supervisor from time to time.
Behavioral (Attitude)
Coordinates with different suppliers for any concerns of end users.
Coordinates with different vendors/suppliers in following up on delivery dates and back orders.
Maintains a high value of integrity by practicing fair play and keeping confidentiality on all hospital purchasing transactions.
Confers with suppliers in obtaining product information such as prices, availability and delivery schedules.
Notifies suppliers of approved Purchase Orders thru fax, phone call or email.
Ensures that all Purchase Requests are given accordingly.
Coordinates all received requests with Purchasing Supervisor for his disposition.
Position Requirements
At least or (1) year related work experience and/or training preferred but not required or its equivalent or combination of education and experience.
