PURCHASING OFFICER
 
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality materials at competitive prices.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of construction materials and equipment.
Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and inventory reports.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to determine material requirements.
Monitor stock levels and plan purchases to avoid delays in construction activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, budgets, and industry regulations.
Resolve supply chain issues, discrepancies, and material shortages.
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships for long-term procurement efficiency.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and supplier networks.
Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost-control skills.
Ability to read and understand technical specifications and construction plans.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and internal team coordination.
High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple procurement tasks.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
