The Role
We are seeking a Purchasing Officer with a LOVE FOR BOARD GAMES and an eye for quality and value. This role will manage the procurement process for our inventory, work closely with suppliers, negotiate favourable terms, and ensure that our stock levels remain robust across all sales platforms. If you're passionate about games and skilled in sourcing, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Build and manage relationships with suppliers to source top-tier board games, accessories, and gaming essentials at the best prices.
Maintain optimal stock levels across various platforms, including ERP, Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and POS systems.
Track, analyse, and forecast inventory based on market demand, trends, and upcoming releases.
Process purchase orders, monitor shipments, and ensure timely product availability for customers.
Work collaboratively with the Inventory & Pricing Analyst to align purchasing with pricing strategies and sales targets.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new product releases, recommending additions to Meeple's product range.
Requirements:
Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally within the retail or gaming industry.
Strong analytical skills and an understanding of market trends and inventory management.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills for effective supplier engagement.
Familiarity with ERP and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, etc.).
A true love of board games and knowledge of popular titles and genres.
Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities to optimise purchasing and inventory levels.
