Responsibility:
The incumbent manages logistics program activities designed to provide subcontractors, management, and customers with effective servicing and manufacturing of economical products. Supports the realization of long-term goals by creating and improving logistics operations and documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing Daily Logistic Related Activities
Keeps track of quality, quantity, stock levels, materials cost, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency
Plans and manages logistics, procurement, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
Supervises, coaches and trains warehouse and procurement workforce.
Determines logistics support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from the location of the operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.
Evaluates and checks Purchase Orders.
Coordinates and negotiates with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.
Compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of tasks to expedite logistics/procurement activities.
Maintains metrics and analyzes data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Performs particular research or technical studies critical to logistic support functions.
Policy-making and Internal Control
Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to develop logistic/procurement program activities.
Enforces compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
Develops logistic/procurement program activities from the conceptual stage through life-cycle of the product.
Develops and initiates preparation of information systems to provide and supply logistics support.
Observes sound housekeeping practices (5-S) in performing the work.
Observes the company policy relative to health and safety at work.

Requirements
Qualifications:
At least a graduate of any engineering or Business courses
Minimum of 10 years' experience in purchasing construction materials
Skills Requirement:
Proficiency in MS Office to include Word & Excel, data entry skills required
Proven attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to this role
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication skills
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and prioritize workload
Proven ability to be flexible and multitask is essential
Must understand inventory management, purchasing and sourcing
Must be willing to work flexible hours (including weekends) to meet the demands and deadlines of the department
