JOB DESCRIPTION
>Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules, and quality
>Identify potential suppliers and maintain good relationship with existing ones
>Negotiate contracts and monitor its progress, and check the quality of service provided
>Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requesting department
>Obtain purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers
