Responsibilities:
The Public Relations Officer will take a lead and primary and contributory role in the creation, execution and monitoring of marketing communications plan and processes the overall present and maintain the positive image of the company and its brands.
He/She will also play the vital role in performing the following functions:
Responsible for getting the company's message to the desired audience
Ensures and fosters good relations with clients and the press/media, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media
Coordinates all public relations activities - press conferences, launch, or other activities in order to gain public attention through the media without advertising directly
Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
Writes interesting and effective press releases and prepares information for media kits
Manages media inquiries and interview requests
Evaluates opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree, Business Studies / Administration / Management, Marketing, Advertising / Media, Mass Communications or equivalent
Should have strong communication skills, can articulate clearly both with written and spoken word, and is able to understand a variety of people
Has developed good relationships across multiple media channels and key influencers
With at least 5 years of experience - PR, Marketing, Advertising, Media from a reputable company
Willing to work on weekends to cover events
Preferably Assistant Manager / Managers specializing in Public Relations / Communications or equivalent
