Working as a Project Procurement Engineer at Signify is dynamic. You will be part of the Signify Procurement Engineering team in LED Electronics and the global Procurement community. We're greater together through peer learning in our globally diverse team, with different backgrounds and nationalities.
We're looking for a fresh university graduate who is interested to start his professional career as junior Project Procurement Engineer who'll be responsible for working on cost optimizations for assigned finished goods portfolio by being part of new product introduction projects, leading cost reduction projects for incumbent portfolio, supporting manufacturing organization in procurement related day-to-day challenges, contributing to developing Commodity Strategies and executing them in manufacturing organization. You will be located in Signify's factory in Pila, Poland
What you'll do
You'll manage Procurement part of new product introduction projects for assigned product portfolio
You'll initiate, look for, execute cost optimization initiatives both in new product introduction projects as well as for existing portfolio
You'll support the manufacturing organization in daily procurement challenges
You'll cooperate with other functions in the organization (R&D, finance, logistics, manufacturing)
You'll will work closely with the Commodity teams on developing and executing commodity sourcing strategies including negotiations with suppliers
What you'll need
You've a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering (preferably electronics or mechanics); or Master's degree in Business and an equivalent combination of education and experience of technical engineering expertise/skills
You've a combination of strong technical skills, commercial affinity and strategic thinking. You've a dynamic and self-driven personality and you're able to be hands-on in a stressful environment
You've good interpersonal (networking) and communication skills and the ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
You're fluent in English
