Meet the team & the product:
We are looking for a Workforce Officer who will handle the Tutor Supply Projects team. This Workforce Officer will be accountable for ensuring we have enough tutors for every student. The scope includes Tutor Profile, Tutor Recruitment, Tutor Training, and Tutor Performance (conversion, enroll, quality and reliability).
We are a for profit high impact edtech startup that allows us to sustainably support our websites (www.edukasyon.ph and www.finduniversity.ph) Our websites (www.edukasyon.ph and www.finduniversity.ph) are used by 8 million Filipino learners aged 13-24 annually, and we have an ambitious product roadmap (including launching a mobile app) to further develop their learning and upskilling, whilst adapting to the disruptions brought on by Covid-19.
Get to know the role :
The Workforce Officer will directly oversee the recruitment until the onboarding and training process of newly hired tutors for the Tutoring Marketplace. Will also work very closely with the VP for Operations to make sure we have the best teachers in our platform. The challenges facing EdTech in the Philippines are numerous and sizable - but then so is the opportunity to redefine learning for the 8 million learners who use our websites every year.
People:
You are responsible for finding, inviting, and screening the highest quality tutors for the platform
You will write the profile for the recruitment team on the most reliable regions and network profiles to ensure attendance.
You are responsible for running the daily tutor operations - in particular, this means increasing our supply of tutors in the market and being accountable for recruiting, onboarding and training several hundreds of tutors thus ensuring we can cover student demand
You find resolutions to tutors issues and questions (e.g., technical issues, plattform and processes, swift workarounds for adhoc challenges) - all via FB chat, calls & e-mails directly or through our CRM system
You lead and manage workshops to onboard, train and update our community of tutors.
Author tutor retention plans and oversee the tutor-led activities that promote retention in the platform
Product:
Produce the schedule shell and workforce forecast to ensure tutor supply and efficient use of resources.
You will devise monitoring tools for reliability and attendance.
You will manage the ongoing retraining of teachers on platform use, technical expertise and new system updates
Produce financial and operational reports for the upper management team and team leaders related to OKR
Profit:
Be accountable for the efficient use of tutor resources and time in accordance with demand.
Ensure that losses incurred due to errors and wastage
Plan and execute contingency plans to ensure production is uninterrupted
Conduct monthly benchmark planning with the customer acquisition and marketing team
Monitor the target achievements of individuals, regions and team leaders and publish for transparency

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Development, Behavioral Sciences, or equivalent;t
Proactive in problem-solving and has the ability to work under own initiatives;
Excellent organizational and time management skills;
Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving;
4-7 years exposure to human resource functions;
Working knowledge of Philippine Labor Law and Regulations
