Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Cost estimation of various metal works and fabrication projects.
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• Interact with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Design calculations for load schedules.
• Review tendered bids for various works from contractors.
• Conduct regular site inspection.
• Act as a permit receiver for Permit to Work system and assist contractors in coming up with JHRA.
• Over-all in charge of the maintenance and operations of facilities.
• Conduct periodic inspection of facilities and equipment and recommends maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Attend coordination meeting with contractors.
• Submit weekly accomplishment report to superior.
• Monitor Project progress and resolving problems as the need arises
• Other related duties as may be required.
Job Requirements:
• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably a licensed Civil Eng'g or Mechanical Eng'g.
• Proven working experience as a project engineer.
• At least five(5) years of related experience.
• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Background in metal works and fabrication a plus.
• With extensive experience in making project cost estimates.
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• With strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Project management and supervision skills.
• Decision making ability and leadership skills.
• Time management and organization skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Current engineer license validity.
