PROJECT ENGINEER
 
Qualifications:
Experience in actual construction works for 3-4 years
Must know how to read construction plans and prepare documents (bid forms, cost estimates) based on scope of work
Scope of Work
Pre construction Phase
Assist the project owner in preparing a detailed bid breakdown forms.
Prepare an In-house Project Cost Estimate for our reference during bid evaluation.
Assist the project owner in short listing prequalified contractors and conduct the bidding process.
Assist the project owner in reviewing and evaluating the contractors’ bids.
Provide project technical assistance during the project negotiation and awarding.
Construction Phase
Assist the project owner in checking the quality of delivered construction materials for the project based on the design and specifications of the designers.
Represent the project owner in conducting Quality Inspection. This is to check if the on-going works followed the design and specifications of the designers.
Assist the project owner in coordinating with the Architect and his design team if there are design clarifications/verifications/consultations during the progress of the construction project.
Assist the project owner in evaluating the contractors’ progress billing against the actual accomplishment.
Report to project owner and designers any field conditions that prevent the execution of the original intent of the project.
Assist the project owner in checking and evaluating the validity of change orders or any deviations from the agreed work especially if these changes have cost implications.
Conduct technical coordination meeting.
Submit monthly progress report.
Post-construction Phase
Facilitate the final testing and commissioning of all works. These are the standard tests to be conduct prior to final turnover and acceptance of the project. (Sanitary lines leak test, Water lines pressure tests, Electrical system insulation test, waterproofing works flood tests, & Aircon system testing/commissioning). Results of those tests will be documented for future reference.
Assist the project owner in the final inspection & acceptance of the different specialty works before turnover.
