JOB DESCRIPTION
Project Implementation, Monitoring & Reporting (60%)
Monitor the implementation of WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) infrastructure projects and other construction works at field level;
Prepare technical documents including drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates specific for project implementation;
Ensure proper coordination with third-party service providers, local authorities and manpower in accordance to the PRC guidelines and directives of the immediate supervisor;
Ensure project specifications are met and within specified design, National Building Codes, regulations and standards at field level;
Provide technical expertise and analysis during construction implementation;
Promote best practices and appropriate design of WASH-related constructions;
Review, evaluate and submit reports on current and ongoing building and repair projects;
Provide daily updates to the Lead Engineer related to construction activities and challenges.
Other Engineering Works (10%)
Explore local markets and manpower in accordance to the project requirements;
Facilitate the local procurement of construction materials and hiring of workers and submit necessary documents based on the PRC policy and standards;
Solving problems and providing technical advice in the planning, coordination and supervision of project;
Support in the mobilization and deployment for response operations (emergency/recovery) as needed;
Liaising and coordinating as required with LGUs, construction companies and communities regarding development and implementation of construction works.
Representation and Coordination (25%)
Cooperate in team coordination;
Maintains effective coordination and long-term relationships with external stakeholders, representing PRC positions as required;
Represents PRC together with the immediate supervisor to meetings with stakeholders (Government and Non-government agencies) to be abreast of the latest updates on who is working where, what when in order to avoid duplication;
Participate in the technical and sectoral meetings and working groups involving NGOs.
Others tasks (5%)
To understand and comply with the organizations policies (attendance, field works, accounting. policies);
Contribute to strategy and policy development on WASH construction activities;
General support of PRC’s objectives and initiatives.
JOB QUALIFICATION
Licensed Civil/Environmental/Sanitary Engineer
Minimum of one (1) year working experience in the civil engineering sector or similar
