Reporting to the Project Documentation and Design Standard Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Consolidates and monitors various design documents being prepared, reviewed and approved by EDD Divisions;
Undertakes the preparation and monitoring of administrative design documents of all substation and transmission line projects for the purpose of project billing, contractor's/manufacturer's/supplier's accreditation and performance evaluation, logistics and finance budget allocation;
Facilitates inter-disciplinary design review adhering to design specifications, guidelines, standards and requirements to ensure quality, completeness and consistency of the bidding documents, design documents, standards and reports
Undertakes the scheduling and monitoring of the conduct of construction quality and workmanship standards orientation;
Undertakes review and updating of EDD IMS procedures. Prepares necessary documentary requirements for internal audit such as IAD, QSED and external audit for IMS certifications;
Monitors and disseminates design documents for review, approval and releasing among EDD Divisions and Contractors i.e. design criteria, drawings, design reports, technical provisions, technical data sheets, plans, calculation sheets, construction drawings and other documents;
Conducts site inspection and leads the team formed to witness Factory Acceptance Tests(FAT) or pre-shipment inspections, when necessary, to ensure compliance to design requirements and specifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Civil Engineering
Licensed Electrical / Civil Engineer
2 years of relevant experience
Has knowledge and skills in the application of theories, standards, practices and concepts in the design field of substation and transmission line projects
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills to handle presentation, preparation and review of technical documents and reports and various correspondences.
Has knowledge in CAD software (i.e., AutoCAD, ZWCad)
