ROLE PURPOSE
The Project Coordinator's main task is to provide leadership management to the implementation of grant/s under the Tropical Storm Agaton relief and recovery program of Save the Children in Leyte province. He or she shall ensure the timely and quality delivery of the projects based on the objectives, goals, and budget across all sectors.
The post-holder will represent Save the Children in relevant inter-agency coordination fora and with different stakeholders in the provincial and municipal local levels. He or she is responsible in ensuring coordination and information-sharing mechanisms are in place with relevant government, community, cluster, and I/NGO stakeholders. The post-holder shall ensure that technical oversight, administrative, financial, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting support delivered in close collaboration with the Humanitarian Manager.
The post-holder is also expected to support and implement humanitarian responses that may arise within the duration of his/her employment contract.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
Minimum of five years of work experience in program management role in the humanitarian and/or development contexts
With previous experience in coordinating/managing humanitarian projects is an advantage
With demonstrated ability on leadership and management roles, and in delivering results in fast-paced working environment
Has the ability to adapt and can work in changing contexts
Ability to deliver with limited supervision. Demonstrated ability to set and achieve objectives and deadlines.
Ability to work on own initiative to build on and develop the job, combined with ability to work effectively as part of a team
Fluency in English and Filipino, both written and verbal is a must. Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills in order to deal tactfully and sensitively with a wide range of people in a large organization
Highly organized, with good attention to detail and developed ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines and organize work
Ability to keep track of the quality and status of own or others' work
Proven attention to detail and ability to effectively manage a high volume of data and information
Experience of using MS office application (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
Strong customer servicing skills
Experience in problem solving
Willingness and ability to travel nationally as needed.
Experience in humanitarian program management, preparedness and response in different contexts
Experience in designing, implementing and monitoring compliance to operations in cash and voucher assistance or similar humanitarian assistance
Experience in building, working, and developing local partnerships, including with the private sector.
Experience of managing multi-donor, multi-site program.
Security management experience across a large program.
Experience in developing and delivering training, as well as mentoring and coaching.
Desirable
Good understanding of current humanitarian issues and the dilemmas/compromises inherent in modern humanitarian interventions
Experience on budget and people management
