We represent a Regional Leader within the Construction Sector who has an excellent track record. With their ever-increasing order-book, they seek Project Accountant (Immediate permanent position) to join their dynamic team of engineers.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure the accurate preparation and timely submission of financial reports as required by Corporate Office including monthly accounts (Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet ex Sun etc), MR6 information, Job Costing reports, cash flow forecasts etc per the timetable determined by the company.
Liaise with Finance Manager and produce reports as required including P&L, Overhead and other reports.
Co-ordinate preparation of annual accounts package and liaise with group auditors as required.
Ensure all General Ledger accounts are reconciled monthly and are correct.
Ensure all statutory reporting obligations are met, including company tax returns, payroll taxes, licensing obligations, company reporting and employee registration requirements.
Preparation of cash flow forecasts.
Preparation of monthly Service Tax return.
Ensure accounting standards, administration procedures and internal controls per the Company policies are followed.
Liaise with operational managers and project staffs to ensure adequate controls and systems are in place to achieve financial credibility and integrity in the accounts and project costing information. This includes regular visit to Malaysia as required.
Oversee Accounts Payable process
Any other duties as may be required.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to Finance Manager/Director
Liaises with Operational Managers and Project Staff.
Requirement
Relevant accounting qualification. (Degree or ACCA)
A minimum of five years commercial accounting experience. (Experience in a construction environment will have an advantage)
Sound understanding and application of accounting standards.
Clear and concise communication - oral and written. (English)
Presents reports of a practical and user-friendly nature.
Experience in Sun (Accounting System) and Workbench (Costing System) will have an advantage.
A disciplined team player and a self-starter.
Computer literate with knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficient in Sun (Accounting System) or Workbench (Costing System) will be an added advantage
Friendly personality, customer-service oriented and able to communicate effectively
A self-motivated and independent individual, possesses great initiative and hands-on experience
Full-Time Immediate urgent permanent position available
