PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - FRP BOAT BUILDING
Position Summary:
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing the FRP boat building process. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled technicians, ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and collaboration. Your expertise in boat building and FRP manufacturing processes will be critical in maintaining the high standards our company is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of production technicians in FRP boat building processes.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demands.
Ensure adherence to quality control standards throughout the boat building process.
Monitor and manage inventory of raw materials and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production.
Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Train new employees on boat building techniques and company procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and sales, to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Naval or related BFA or technical degree or certification in boat building or related field is a plus.
Proven experience as a Production Supervisor in the FRP boat building industry.
Strong knowledge of FRP manufacturing processes, including laminating, molding, and finishing. Knowledge and experience in vacuum-assisted resin transfer/injection process is an advantage.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
Understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends or extended hours based on production needs.
