About the Job
At Texas Instruments a Production Planning Analyst works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. The individual performing this role coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. They provide input to management and interfaces with customers, marketing, sales and production and consult with engineering to create new product supply road maps, resolve labor and material shortages, and manage backlog and other potential schedule interruptions.
Responsibilities include:
Rationalize customer and engineering demand and develop a weekly lot start plan
Collaborate with SBE and Make Planning to schedule new device qualifications
Device setups on SMS and SPS
Implement and maintain planning factors and capacity constraints
Coordinate capacity WIF's and trade-offs between the manufacturing organization and Make Planning
Manage banked lots and lots on hold for engineering
Manage silicon forecast and inventory levels
Hot lot and critical device tracking
Monitor WIP to ensure timely customer deliveries
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business, Accounting or related
Atleast 2 years' experience in semiconductor
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Problem solving skills, including meticulous attention to details
Clear and effective communication and presentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively across functional boundaries and with upper management
Ability to work in stressful situations and arrive at creative and effective solutions
Ability to think strategically
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process
Planning systems aptitude and not afraid to learn TI planning systems and tools
Excellent systems skills including Excel, SAP and PowerPoint
Experience with TI Planning Systems including DQ, SCP, SMS, SPM and FSPI is preferred
