WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE
Organizes work of assigned LCO Area in order to provide optimal utilization of production capacity, high-quality products, and maintaining safety in the work area. Owns 24/7 Safety, Quality, Delivery & Productivity area results.
Responsible for building team capability through active coaching of the line pair leader and definition of training requirements of the line team. Participates in key planned activities to role model and coach teams. Responsible for driving/leading improvement plans for the area.
WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the safety, quality, production results, and compliance within the assigned LCO Area and ensure that the required volume will be delivered with the planned and budgeted headcount. Performs daily audits of the machine functioning status, systems, and management principles and orders / implements corrective actions.
Ensure volumes are produced in full in a timely manner against production plan and consistently provide accurate inventories in the area by Process Order reconciliation and closure to avoid inventory cost and eliminate loss.
Avoid incidents by instigating the 'zero quality incidents' mentality and culture in his/her area by constantly reiterating this during toolbox meetings ensuring that everyone in the team understands that quality is an utmost priority.
Prevents and avoids incidents by ensuring a 'zero safety incidents' mentality and culture in his/her area by cascading all safety communications from EHS.
Collaborates well with other LCO Area Leaders to balance resources in order to achieve Make Pack department operational goals as well as building high performing team by providing the necessary training.
Perform any other tasks given by the supervisor. Compliance with EHS procedures, labor law, corporate guidance, internal regulations, and work performance instructions
Understand the health and safety aspects of their work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep their workplace healthy and safe.
Develop their competency to do the work healthy and safely, participate in health and safety training and receive appropriate health and safety knowledge and required qualifications, observe and follow safety signs, posters, warning signals, and written directions and instructions.
Know Legal and JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards and comply with all applicable health and safety rules and procedures.
Always demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to their supervisor, the report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor and eliminate them within their authority and ability to do so.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar position or in the Production
Very good command of the English language for effective verbal and written communication
PC literacy (MS Office)
With strong conflict and resolution skills
Excellent analytical skills
Strong leadership abilities
Decision-Making skills
Strong sense of responsibility.
