Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Research and Selection
• Using the company's specialised licensed software and Product Selection Guidelines, identify suitable products that can generate high online sales with a good profit margin in return. This will involve identifying products in high demand and researching all online platforms such as Amazon and Pinterest
• Perform Market Research of all online platforms with a view to determine competitive advantage and price points
• Research all similar products being sold online including products being promoted at online world trade fairs, etc.
• Research whether the appearance of a product could be improved to not only increase competitive advantage but to also achieve patent protection. Assist with any design improvements. Product must conform with the Product Selection Guidelines
Product Development
• Once a product has been identified for sale, assist with the development including sourcing for manufacture of that product
• Research the cost of manufacturing the product
• Follow a set of Product Manufacture Guidelines including working with focus groups, sourcing agents, manufacturers and other specialized consultants
• Assist with the commissioning of customer surveys including focus groups
Qualifications and Experience:
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• Experience in Market Research
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Tech Savvy
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Willing to learn and enthusiastic
• Ability to work independently
• Highly organised
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Approachable and friendly
• Anti-Stereotypical and a Strategic Thinker
• Ideally with advanced computer literacy including three-dimensional conceptual ability and CAD
• Foreign language ability would be nice to have
• Knowledge or experience in the following would be an advantage: Industrial processes, techniques and standards, Project management-specific software, Industrial Design, Spatial Design, 3D Design qualifications, ZonGuru CRM
