Procurement Specialist
What are we looking for:
Multiplymii is in search of a Procurement Specialist, who will work with our client partner - a tech-forward consumer products company that acquires and grows online brands across the pet, home & kitchen, beauty & personal care, and fitness, sports & outdoor categories. You would be joining a team of seasoned leaders who have over 23 years of Amazon marketplace experience as well as experience in billion-dollar direct to consumer, local & international, retail & omnichannel operations, and brand-building having grown brands from scratch to over $1B.
Beyond your experience, we are also looking for someone who is professional and possesses impeccable English communication in written and verbal form.
This role is 100% work from home.
In this role you will:
Determine optimal product specifications according to a number of various factors and uses and develop quality assurance and control protocols
Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Manage product replenishment through ongoing Purchase Order issuance (OnTrack & Manual), track supplier deliveries (Create & Monitor Shipment ID's), and expedite deliveries as necessary
Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
Administer supplier/contractor pre-qualification requirements relating to safety and risk
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
Identify current commodity price of raw materials needed
Identify reputable suppliers and weed out bad or less desirable suppliers
Maintain supplier scorecards to measure and track supplier performance
Coordinate transportation and logistics requirements by selecting appropriate transportation method for items purchased; may coordinate with a third party logistics provider; may participate in transportation provider audits
About You:
A bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), Business, Economics, Statistics, or related discipline is preferred.
5+ years of experience as a procurement, purchasing specialist, buyer, or equivalent
Knowledge and experience in developing product specifications to ensure that raw materials are competitive and cost-effective.
Experience working cross-functionally and/or in matrixed organizations
Strong analytical skills, comfortable with large data sets and rapid experimentation
Highly organized with a critical attention to detail and impossibly high standards.
Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
Amazon experience is highly preferred but not required.
