Our Role
Graymont Limited currently have an opportunity for a high performing Purchasing professional to join our team, to lead and provide day-to-day management to a dedicated Purchasing Team to deliver timely, quality and value add purchasing and P2P services and advice to Graymont's Asia Pacific Operations.
This role will be based in BGC - Taguig and will assist the Global Procurement Manager with the daily management of Operational Procurement based activities, including Purchasing, the sourcing of all materials and services to support Operational and Project business groups. The position includes ensuring and maintaining a supply of service that delivers safe, cost effective and efficient provision of goods and services to customers in accordance with all Company Policies & Procedures. The position will also support the ongoing and continuous improvement of processes within the P2P function.
Key responsibilities include;
Lead and provide day-to-day management of Operational Procurement based activities, including Purchasing, the sourcing of all materials and services to support Operational and Project business groups.
Provide clear leadership and direction around day-to-day management of the Team's work load ensuring that individual team members are appropriately supported and the Team's work load is appropriately resourced to deliver timely, quality and value add purchasing services and advice.
Deliver transactional support for purchasing to Operations, including creating PO's, forwarding PO's to Suppliers,
Ongoing collaboration with the Operations function and Support functions (i.e. AP, Finance etc) to have an aligned P2P, purchasing and expediting approach
Leading engagement with suppliers to purchase and expedite orders, and to resolve any outstanding issues.
Ensuring compliance with Graymont's P2P, purchasing and expediting Policies and Procedures.
Ongoing review of current P2P, purchasing and expediting practices and leading continuous improvement in processes.
Lead and contribute to a "Safety First" culture through leadership and participation in HSE activities and initiatives.
Lead and model Graymont's values, strategy, and objectives to ensure employees remain engaged and can embrace these business fundamentals whilst accomplishing their individual targets and objectives.
Promote a strong organisational culture driven by clear and cohesive communication.
In order to be successful in the role you have the following:
Strong understanding and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience with Procure to Pay Processes, Commercial Principles and Supply management.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory position within a purchasing or strategic buying function in a business with multiple operating sites or similar is essential.
Demonstrated proficiency with using an ERP system with a preference for Oracle JDE, coupled with Intermediate Excel Skills.
Understanding of internal customer business functions of a business with multiple operating sites and their influence on Purchasing and the Supply Chain i.e. Plant Maintenance, Finance etc.
The ability to foster innovation and continuous improvement in processes.
Knowledge of Maintenance/Operation and Warehouse functions & requirements with respect to the procurement of parts & consumables.
Strong attention to detail and high accuracy levels
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Supply chain, procurement or commercial related Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
