Roles and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Procurement and Logistics Support will be relating to inventory acquisition and management and will work closely with our scheduling and warehouse staff.
The role of the Procurement and Logistics Support are to source goods and services to ensure the continuous supply of products, help standardise processes, as well as implement strategic business planning initiatives for the business.
The additional day-to-day tasks of the Procurement and Logistics Support Include liaising with suppliers, managing inventory flow, improving the ordering processes, developing and maintaining approved supplier lists.
The Procurement and Logistics Support is also expected to set up and monitor minimum stocks for inventory items and and forecasts for high turnover inventory items, run reports on stock flows and recommend clearance or stock for discount or write off to ensure efficiency and assist cash flow, and analyse and investigate profit margins on categories and items and identify potential areas to increase business profitability.
The Procurement and Logistics Support must also maintain purchase orders to ensure information on lead times on items is accurate, assist in resolving supplier or supply related issues, coordinate with sales team product orders and equipment trials, use Windward software to allocate and control the flow of inventory out of our warehouse, ensure all weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting is delivered on a timely basis, manage procurement of goods through local suppliers, and work closely with the company's Warehouse Manager to manage stocks & perform cycle counts on inventory.
Required Experience
- More than 2 years of inventory and management experience
A Successful Candidate must have
- An understanding of purchases/procurement
- Ability to work within a close knit team and build strong internal & external relationships.
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to anticipate the problem before they arise
- Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
