PROCESS ENGINEER:
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
1. Assessing and selecting relevant processes and the adequacy of resources to make improvements that will significantly impact factory performance.
2. Designing, installing and commissioning of new production equipment/processes, monitoring modifications and upgrades and troubleshooting issues on existing processes.
3. Developing and scaling up process improvements from DOE into manufacturing process.
4. Conducting developmental studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and recommending methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
5. Preparing and executing production improvement project plans to include cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluate cost factors.
6. Managing the cost and time constraints of the projects.
7. Selecting, managing and working with sub-contractors.
8. Working closely with design engineers and machine shop supervisors to monitor and improve machine utilization and productivity of manufacturing processes.
9. Ensuring the process works at the optimum level in order fulfillment (quality, competitive cost and velocity).
10. Supports manufacturing in the design, development and fabrication of fixtures, inspection jigs, prototypes, gauges, etc.
11. Preparing reports, flow diagrams, work instructions, procedures, temporary instructions, rework details, 8D, one-point lesson, shop clock analysis, etc.
DESIGN ENGINEER:
1. Follow engineering procedures and specifications to develop Kit related mechanical designs. Generate Design Documentation, detail part drawings per ASME 14.5 standard, Assembly drawings and Bills of Materials.
2. Designs and monitors the development of device kit and/or modified designs.
3. Effects kit design refinement and/or advancement to meet constant changes in customer preferences or requirements.
4. Provides services to kit users on kit applications and technology.
5. Actively participates in all phases of the project, including requirement definition, design, development, research, fabrication, testing/integration, customer interface, maintenance, safety and economic utilization used in the manufacture of device kits.
6. Modify fabricated parts from redlined drawings or verbal instruction.
7. Generate Engineering Change Orders and Bill of materials.
8. Assures on-time availability of kit design to manufacturing and customers.
9. Support manufacturing floor as required.
QA ENGINEER:
1. Understand and clearly define all aspects of supplier quality problems and/or issues and facilitate satisfactory resolutions using data collection, root cause and trend analysis.
2. Identify, define, and apply the elements of process documentation systems, document control, and ISO 9001 standards.
3. Identify, define, and classify quality characteristics, including classification of defects.
4. Create qualification methods and metrics for process, product, and service delivery.
5. Conduct Supplier Qualification Audits and quality assessment to evaluate capability of potential supplier to meet Cohu PH quality requirements
6. Monitor suppliers' performance and administer Supplier Quality Meeting and request relevant actions as necessary
7. Resolve non- conformance issues with suppliers and follow up the closure of internal/ external quality issues and corrective actions
8. Ensure timely analysis and disposition of non- conforming parts through Material Review Board (MRB) process
9. Generate internal/external corrective/preventive action reports based on analyzed data and potential issues and initiate process improvements
10. Prepare and update all necessary quality reports.
