We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical and Industrial Engineer with expertise in waste water management to join our team. As a Mechanical and Industrial Engineer specializing in waste water, you will play a crucial role in designing, optimizing, and implementing mechanical and industrial systems within waste water treatment plants. Your focus will be on improving efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in waste water treatment operations by integrating mechanical and industrial engineering principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize mechanical and industrial systems and equipment for waste water treatment plants, including pumps, piping systems, valves, blowers, conveyors, and process automation.
Apply industrial engineering principles to analyze and optimize workflow, resource allocation, and production processes within waste water treatment facilities.
Conduct time and motion studies, process mapping, and data analysis to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation and optimization.
Use simulation and modeling tools to assess the performance and reliability of mechanical and industrial systems, and propose design modifications or process changes as necessary.
Prepare engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation for the construction, installation, and modification of mechanical and industrial systems and equipment.
Perform inspections and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and industrial issues, propose and implement effective solutions to improve overall operational efficiency and safety.
Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams in the operation and maintenance of mechanical and industrial systems and equipment.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in waste water treatment technologies, industrial engineering practices, and automation solutions to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to procure equipment, review proposals, and supervise installation activities.
Participate in project planning and budgeting activities, ensuring that mechanical and industrial engineering requirements are accurately reflected.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
A minimum of [1] year of experience in mechanical and industrial engineering, with a focus on waste water treatment systems.
Strong knowledge of waste water treatment processes, mechanical equipment, industrial automation, and lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing waste water treatment and industrial engineering practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex mechanical and industrial issues.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and green technologies in waste water treatment is a plus.
