Job Description
As the Pricing Analyst, you will help build a best-in-class pricing organization using your structured thinking approach to problem solving. You will help develop and run pricing operations; collaborate with product, technology, and market-facing teams to advise on correct pricing actions; and implement pricing best practices to drive competitive advantage and organizational pricing acumen. This position will be an integral business partner responsible for challenging and supporting the leadership team, anticipating business issues, and driving good decision-making.
This Is What You'll Do:
Partner with Business Unit leaders and Account Executives to provide timely and creative pricing recommendations and ad hoc pricing scenario analysis.
Utilize data from various sources to inform and enhance the organization's pricing strategies.
You will maintain and improve existing models and metrics, while developing and introducing new analytical frameworks that enhance insight and efficiency, leading to faster decision-making
Continually improve and develop regional pricing-related strategies and processes, using frameworks that can be replicated and scaled, working in conjunction with the wider Sterling pricing team.
Manage pricing analysis to support promotions and new product releases
Use quantitative and qualitative methods to build and share out a more complete picture of our market position and customer value perceptions, including: service usage patterns, competitive positioning, market share analysis, margin analysis, customer engagement tracking, and customer and product segmentation.
Support colleagues in developing pricing models (SQL, Python, or other common programming languages) and self-service pricing tools.
This Is What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's Degree required (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science)
4-5 years working in pricing, revenue management, or finance-related field, including experience in pricing analytics, data manipulation, and performance reporting.
Strong communication skills, with experience creating and delivering effective presentations to executive leadership
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts and analyses in clear, non-technical language
Driven to set aggressive goals and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment; ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities is essential
Fluency in Excel and a working knowledge of SQL and/or common data science languages
Working understanding of statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis) and familiarity with Salesforce highly desired
Prior experience with Technology or Cloud based services companies is preferred
