Position Description: "BI Developer - Remote - North America Overview As part of North America business performance and reports automation implementation within Thales North America, we are currently looking for a fully dedicated BI expert to suppo Position Description: 'BI Developer - Remote - North America Overview As part of North America business performance and reports automation implementation within Thales North America, we are currently looking for a fully dedicated BI expert to support the deployment of BI solutions using PowerBI for North America to provide guidance and support in implementing strategic automated reports. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with the IT teams to design and deliver reporting and analytical solutions that satisfy business and technical requirements - Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources (Excel, and ERPs: SAGE, SAP, Primavera ) into PowerBI - Provide architectural insight to business users through evaluation and recommendation - Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality - Managing PowerBI workspaces, report access, report deployment, developing best practices in an enterprise environment - Take ownership of end-to-end development of each dashboard and report being developed - Train end-users and other stakeholders as needed to ensure they become fully autonomous and operational on the tool - Coordinate with IS/IT as needed to ensure compliancy with Thales IT/Security Required Qualifications: The role requires complete comprehension of enterprise data models and utilization of both relational and dimensional data sources. This person will design and develop customized reports and dashboards that deliver benefit and actionable information in an agile and efficient way. - Experience in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining - Strong understanding of database management systems, analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework - Experience with database design concepts, middleware concepts, user interface development, and information security engineering & access controls - Knowledge of SQL queries and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) - Experience with Microsoft Azure Datalake, Azure SQL Database and Azure Analysis Services - Three plus years of relevant work experience building dashboards and reports in PowerBI - Experience working on Power Query, DAX and Power BI Services - Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams - Experiences in applying agile work practices - Experience collaborating with teams both cross-functionally and cross-geography - Motivated and adaptable, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment - Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field' Skills: Application Design Application Development Business Analysis Business Process Analysis Manufacturing What you can expect from us: Insights you can act on While technology is at the heart of our clients' digital transformation, we understand that people are at the heart of business success.
