Description
To abreast with the requirements of the DENR-EMB and the latest available technology on the prevention, control and abatement of pollution; and
To develop and implement programs to control and minimize generation of pollution.
Job Responsibilities:
Attends to the requirements of the establishment prior to the construction or installation of pollution control facilities including the application and securing of necessary pollution permits and renewal thereof.
Monitors the activities pertaining to the installation or construction of pollution source and control facilities.
Supervises the proper operation and maintenance of pollution control facilities of the establishment.
Reports within reasonable to the DENR-EMB the breakdown of any pollution control facility, and the estimated and actual dates of completion/ repair and operation.
Promptly submits validated/ certified correct periodic reports to the DENR-EMB.
Attends meeting for Pollution Control Officers which may be called by the DENR-EMB.
Facilitates compliance of the establishment to the requirements as prescribed by the DENR-EMB.
Responsible in preparation of periodic reports and renewal of permits to DENR-EMB and other government regulatory agencies.
Periodic Report to be submitted:
Quarterly Self-Monitoring Report (SMR)
Annual renewal of the following:
Permit to Discharge Wastewater
Permit to Operate Air
Permit to Handle Hazardous waste
CENRO Certificate - Solid waste management
Sanitation Permits
Others: BAI, City Engineers Office, etc.
Performs other duties as may be required by the immediate superior.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of any Enigneering course, with or without license;
BOSH/OSH/PCO Certified;
Must have atleast 2 years experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment;
Must be willing to learn, keen attention to details and result-oriented;
Candidate must be willing to be assigned to Bunawan, Davao City.
