The Opportunity
The responsibilities of this position include providing technical services for server and infrastructure areas of the GWAM. This person is expected to participate as a technical resource in the implementation and planning of projects that affect all areas of the division. Responsibilities often require little to no supervision.

We are looking for someone with:
University Degree (IT, Computer Science or other related subject area preferred) or equivalent experience
3 or more years IT operations experience in managing or maintaining the Microsoft Azure cloud environment and strong understanding of building and maintaining Windows Servers
Experience in at least 2 of the following technologies:
MongoAtlas
SQLMI
Azure Kubernetes Service
Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Knowledgeable in Internet Information Services (IIS), software application installation, upgrade, patchin g, and configuration
Knowledgeable in basic Linux/UNIX commands & administration
Excellent server/networking troubleshooting skills
Strong customer service, coordination, and interpersonal skills
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to collaborate, lead, and influence technical peers and decision makers
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to be flexible to changing environments and to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills and candidate must be proactive
Willingness to work in shifting schedule and participate in oncall rotation
Nice to have:
Familiarity in scripting languages for e.g., Microsoft PowerShell
ITIL 4 Foundation and AZ-900 Certifications
Experience in Agile is desirable
Other Microsoft Certifications (MCTS, MCITP, MCSA, MCSE)
On the job you will:
Administer and support server-based platforms managed by the GWAM Platform Technology Services team
Provide problem analysis, investigation and resolution for software and hardware issues as related to the platforms we support
Install, analyze, configure, manage, and maintain multiple applications on Development and Pre-Production servers while providing technical support
Monitor patches via change process, monitor disk and memory spaces plus CPU usage, and administer file system access
Assist in coordination of maintenance windows and activities for setup, break/fix, and enhancements
Analyze planned changes for impact and provide approvals
Respond to incidents expediting measures and activities to address them, work with vendors and support business teams to analyze root causes and modify current processes to improve overall system efficiencies, review and approve planned & emergency change activities
Create tickets to support incident resolution tasks, represent change at divisional meetings, and integrate vendor activities through effective coordination into change/problem process
Work directly with business units to identify issues affecting successful implementation and work out solutions
Manage volume of requests according to maintenance window and resource availability under severe time constraints
Meet with project teams on all phases of projects to provide skills, knowledge, and resources to support projects requirements, typically as an implementer. Advice on feasibility of timelines as related to technical aspects of projects. Integrate steady state processes with project tasks, including, product certification, User Acceptance Testing, and production implementation. Provides functional participation for technical initiatives of moderate complexity
