QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in Linux environments.
Experience with python frameworks, e.g. Flask, Django.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Rest API.
Solid understanding of OOP and MVC.
Experience using GIT and Unit testing.
Designed multi-table databases to include the preparation of schemas and data dictionaries.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work cooperatively with team members, clients, and other collaborators.
Attention to detail.
Leadership skills.
Operating systems including Linux, Windows, Unix.
You'll be great for this role if you have the following experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or engineering, electrical engineering, data science, mathematics, or technical education. Education requirements can be waived for those with considerable work experience, performing technical tasks.
At least 7 years of experience of Python development.
Applicants must have broad general technical knowledge in the area of computer science and/or information technology and possess the ability to quickly grasp technical subject matter.
Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and be adept at using digital technologies that facilitate team and customer interaction.
Knowledge of relational databases, e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS.
Experience in other web-based languages, e.g. PHP.
Understanding of front-end technologies, e.g. React.
Distributed data processing queue/scheduler designs, e.g. RQ, celery.
Experience with big data analysis, e.g. spark, AWS/azure, map reduce, elastic search, is a plus but not necessary.
