What you will do
Serve as a subject matter expert on customer site, explaining technical, development, or strategic IT requirements
Identify problems and choose fitting architectural solutions; design, specify, implement, and test software
Facilitate customer enablement and deployment of open source solutions
Work on diverse problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of many different factors
Apply your experience and understanding of industry practices and Red Hat's policies and procedures
Show good judgment in selecting methods and techniques to get the right solutions
Manage and engage with senior-level stakeholders at the C-level and below
Get involved early in the sales cycle to explore, review, and shape deal opportunities
What you will bring
3+ years of experience designing and configuring any Linux distribution, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), virtualization, and cloud technologies
3+ years of experience with system customization and development, including system performance tuning, building customized distributions, and working with enterprise hardware like storage area network (SAN)-based storage
Expert-level Linux proficiency in troubleshooting skills, preferably on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL); ability to troubleshoot issues with the underlying components of Red Hat OpenStack Platform when investigating incidents to achieve root cause analysis or testing new features
Expert-level proficiency in operating a Red Hat OpenStack Platform cloud via Horizon or command line interface (CLI)
Knowledge of some scripting languages; ability to read Python logs
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to use automation tools and configuration management languages like Puppet, Chef, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Bash
Familiarity with Red Hat OpenStack Platform deployment and continuous integration (CI) tools like Red Hat OpenStack Platform director, TripleO, Canonical Ubuntu, Juju, Mirantis, Fuel, etc.
