Completion of all deliverables associated with the month end closing process. Duties consist of but are not limited to the following: preparation of standard financial statements, calculating estimates and accruals, recording journal entries, and balancing intercompany accounts.
Preparation of the location's monthly forecasted results file.
Calculation of accurate overhead labor rates.
Coordinate daily labor postings between the payroll application and the general ledger.
Assume leadership role as primary accounting support for plant manager.
Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Manage the location's annual physical inventory count.
Manage fixed asset register.
Act as primary liaison between location personnel and corporate accounting department.
Provide accounting guidance to onsite clerical staff.
Manage accounts receivable aging by making necessary collection calls.
Work independently with vendors on inquiries and problem resolution.
Manage any special projects that affect the location's established financial procedures.
Strong computer skills and working knowledge MS Excel.
Familiar with standard ERP reporting systems (SysPro experience a plus).
Possess solid accounting and analytical skills as well as a working knowledge of GAAP.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality.
Establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Extremely detail oriented with excellent organization skills.
Ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures
