Job Description
Ensures the availability of meat materials at the required quantity, right time and place at the least possible cost.
Provide financial impact on items needing decision that would entail cost but will mitigate the risk of stock out. (Relevant attribute for NS8 level)
Act as Team leader RMPM Planning Group in case his/her Manager is on Leave has holistic view of the scenario high potential personnel (Relevant attribute for NS9 level)
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
SUPPLY PLANNING
Secures safety stock level of all meat materials to Assigned Area and acts as a central axis of information/coordination with other departments on supply-related concerns of the area.
Computation of Hog Meat supportability from SMFI
Monitors and executes strategic inventory replenishment of handled meat materials thru:
Direct deliveries from suppliers to plants, toll and external warehouses
Transfer from external warehouses to plants and toll.
Inter-plant transfers
Prepares monthly meat movement/ buy plan based on 6 and12 months rolling forecast.
Manual input of usages to excel buy plan movement (2-3days) from Foxpro explo .on-going project (Excel BOM)
DEMAND PLANNING
Analyzes and provides variance explanation on forecasted versus actual usage and price to ensure accurate data in planning.
Provides inventory of meat materials to FG Planners as basis of the weekly FGA (Finished Goods Allocation)
INVENTORY PLANNING AND CONTROL MANAGEMENT
Daily
Daily monitoring of meat materials tools use- DRIM
Monitors day to day operational concerns and recommend solutions in order to bridge inventory planning gaps with coordination from BPG, PD's, Marketing, Manufacturing and Suppliers to ensure supply availability.
Weekly
Prepares weekly dispatch plan based on Material Replenishment Plan to serve plant and toll requirements.
Prepares reconsideration memo to avoid stock-out and ensures availability of meat materials.
Weekly monitoring of meat claims
Manages aging of meat materials to prevent slow moving, non-moving and obsolete materials if there is any, need to provide depletion plan.
Other
Prepares RPC (Request for Product Change) in relation to materials alternatives, availability and supportability.
WAREHOUSING AND DISTRIBUTION
Prioritizes dispatch allocation based on need and availability of meat materials.
Coordinates with logistics and third-party services to ensure efficient delivery and acceptance.
Allocates meat materials per plant and toll based on desired days level to maximize efficient warehouse capacity for both plants and external warehouse
Prepares delivery schedule of meat materials per supplier on a monthly, weekly and daily requirement.
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS
Computes monthly pallet position requirement and cost of meat materials as basis of monthly warehouse accruals.
Analyzes and provides variances explanation on planned versus actual inventory of meat materials.
Generates information and data to support long and short- term planning during Annual Budget Planning and Operations Review.
Preparation of claim memo (cost recovery)
Provides Financial Impact on programs and activities either intentional savings program or mitigating plan to cover certain risks and its corresponding cost implication (trade-offs)
SYSTEMS AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
Analyzes and determines gaps and improvements to the current system processes, resources, and business structures.
Recommends and implements process and system improvements to increase productivity.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Creates Purchase Requisitions for new requirements of meat materials handled, based on projected usages and taking into account current system inventories and movement.
Update data in MORPH.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Elevates issues and concerns pertaining to meat materials handled for possible resolution in the weekly BPG alignment meeting, BT Meeting discussion with Mancom, Marketing, PD's, Manufacturing, BLG, QA, Sales and Finance.
Has Holistic analysis of situation connecting all concerned factors and resolution proposed is not only contained to the area he/she is assigned in should be covering all affected areas. Can act as Team Leader in the absence of the Manager.
With Potential Problem Analysis or identify trade-offs on proposed resolutions and properly weigh out the risks
