Job Description
. Leadership, supervision and responsibility of piping Material Engineers assigned to the project and provide support to Lead Engineer for manhour estimates and manpower, schedule and budget planning.
. Coordinate the production of all deliverables in accordance with the Project schedule.
. Develop / check Piping Classes, Valve Data Sheets, Piping SP list, Piping SP items.
. Develop / Check Technical Requirement Specifications for all Piping components and Piping SP items.
. Interface with Piping Layout, Piping MTO, Instruments, Metallurgy, Mechanical, QA/QC, Procurement, Mechanical Handling.
. Create Enquiry Requisitions , conduct Technical Bid Evaluations and assemble Technical Requirements for Purchase Order Valve Packages .
. Review Vendor documents and participate in Vendor coordination meetings (Telecoms / workshops).
. Provide guidance and mentorship to developing engineers and participate in people development through training and seminars.
Basic Job Requirements
. Recognised industry experience in Lead Engineer position.
. BSc / BEng is preferred / HNC (or equivalent) is required.
. Professional Registration preferred.
. Onshore Oil and Gas engineering experience in upstream, downstream, and/or petrochemical sectors. LNG, Offshore, Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing experience is beneficial.
. Concept, FEED and EPC contracts including workshare experience with satellite offices.
. Develop and build external relations with client representatives, vendors, and subcontractors and interface closely with other discipline functions promoting Client Service Excellence.
. Ensure adherence to Industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures and ensure technical correctness of all discipline deliverables to ensure they comply with Client specifications.
. Communicate / present complex technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineering personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
. Professional registration and membership in technical society
. Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
. Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting
. Managing and leading a large project
. Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out
. Practical field experience
. Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
