Description
1. Welds and joins together pipe fittings and other metal components to walls or structures such as radiators or tanks using brackets, clamps, and tools or welding equipment as specified in work orders.
2. Welds pipe support to transfer the loads from the pipes to supporting structure or equipment.
3. Assembles or secures pipes, tubes, fittings or related equipment according to job specifications by welding, soldering or threading of joints.
4. Does grinding works for fit up preparation and for cleaning welding joints using grinding disc, pencil grinder, cutting disc and file hand tools to remove flax and porosity.
5. Inspects and checks complete welds prior acceptance of QA Section.
6. Repairs simple defects and other wieldable metals using various tools and appropriate welding equipment for maintenance.
7. Prepares appropriate hand and power tools such as welding cable, welding mask, holder, electrode and welding dryer.
8. Renews materials at the Warehouse monthly to maintain its good working condition tagged with a colored sticker.
9. Performs housekeeping chores after welding and grinding by cleaning the area to eliminate or minimize the hazards.
10. Attends Take Five (5) Meetings daily to get work instructions and reminders to do the job safely.
11. Follows instructions in compliance with company's policies on wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and help ensure zero accident and safe work environment.
12. Performs other functions which may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
