PIPE WELDER
Responsible for joining and repairing pipes and pipelines used for water, air, slurry, fuel, and chemical transport within mining operations. This role involves welding various types of pipes (carbon steel, stainless steel, etc.) using techniques such as SMAW, GTAW, or TIG, while following safety standards and technical specifications to ensure strong, leak-free joints.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Weld pipes based on specifications, codes, and blueprints
Use welding techniques such as SMAW, GTAW, and TIG as required
Prepare, align, and fit pipes prior to welding
Inspect welds for defects and perform repairs when needed
Operate safely in high-risk environments like plants and mine sites
Maintain welding tools and equipment in good condition
