Job Description
Experience in lay outs, install and maintenance of piping systems like steam heat and power, hot water, hydraulic, air pressure and oil lines, follow isometric drawings and use of hand tools.
Experience in planning layout of pipe sections allowing for conformance to specifications, holes and obstructions.
Able to cut & bore holes in steel bulkhead decks for installation of pipes.
Ability to operate shop machines to cut and thread pipe and pipe fittings like valves, traps and thermostats.
Able to bolt or weld pipe brackets to support pipe systems, connecting pipes to fixtures like radiators, laundry and palley equipment, pumps, tanks.
Test installed systems for leaks and ensure that systems meet specifications using hydrostatic pressure test equipment.
lsometric drawing reading and interpretation, troubleshooting, schematic drawing reading, dimension control and understanding and knowledge of quality control.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
Must have at least FIVE years' hands on pipe fitting experience in Marine, Oil and Gas or similar related industries.
Must be able to read and understand isometric engineering drawings and interpret work instructions.
Additional Information:
Willing to take the IELTS Language Certificate requirement for UK Visa process.
