Job Summary:
A PHP developer with a passion for professional software development with a drive to write clean code, follow standard software development practices with a strong understanding of algorithms, agile processes, and data structures.
The developer will take part in the rewrite of our existing software and take full responsibility of his/her role in the team.
The developer will excel to meet the company's goals and deadlines.
This includes the willingness to learn new technologies, research and troubleshoot to
overcome any barriers that stand in the way.
Job Requirements:
Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming
Proficiency in design patterns such as facade, repository, observer etc.
Writing and understanding modern PHP (PHP 7+)
In-depth knowledge of Laravel framework with at least 3 years of hands-on experience
Solid understanding and experience with at least one modern Javascript framework such as vue.js or react.js
Hands on experience with front-end technology such as HTML5, Sass, LESS, Bootstrap
Previous experience with unit testing
Strong understanding of MVC
Comfortable working with Linux (Basic commands and operations)
Very good understanding of database design
Ability to write queries in MySQL
Knowledge of PDO
Experience with Git and Github
Hand on experience with SOAP and RESTful API design
Good software practices, detail oriented
Creative and efficient problem solver
At least a Bachelor's degree on Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
Responsibilities:
Contribute to new features and feature enhancements on our new system written in Laravel
Write code in core PHP to fix issues on whatever is left of our old system
Troubleshoot and fix bugs on both our new and old system
Perform daily maintenance tasks on our old system to keep it running until it is completely phased out
Work at least half of your shift, preferably full-shift during the regular working hours in the United States
