Job description:
As a member of the network services team, you will be responsible for the support, operation, and maintenance of client networks.
Network Analysts are primarily responsible for receiving network incidents escalated from other teams, gathering information, and first line troubleshooting under the guidance of Network Engineers. They are also tasked with drafting configurations in response to requests, executing network changes approved by senior team members, and updating documentation.
Minimum Technical Prerequisites for Network Analysts
Responsibilities of this position include:
Operation, administration, and support of various hardware devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, wireless LAN controllers and other networking devices
Communicating with other team members, clients, and vendors as necessary to gather information, troubleshoot, and confirm that work has been completed successfully
Executing and documenting configuration changes written by senior team members
Maintaining and pursuing additional technical certifications, as required by the organization
Adhering to documentation written by others that describes implementation and operating procedures
Participation in the networking pager on-call rotation as 1st level support
Other reasonable Networking services associated with the planning, deployment, installation, administration, and management
The ideal candidate will have:
Network certifications such as Network+, NSE4 or CCNA
Education or previous experience in technical support, networking preferred
Familiarity with Fortigate firewalls, Meraki switches, and Meraki wireless solutions
Ability to describe the purpose of core networking concepts such as
Firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points
VPNs, NAT, ACLs, VLANs, TCP/IP and OSI models
TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, IPSEC, SSL
