Description
The person handling the position is responsible in receiving and processing PHIC documents for hospital and medical services from patients and clients. Specifically the employee will take the following responsibility;
1. Secures names/lists of HMO clients and coordinates with responsible HMO for LOA of clients when necessary
2. Collects and summarizes all referrals, admissions and consultation forms from the accredited doctors regularly.
3. Reviews delinquent HMO accounts
4. Updates the management of the status of HMO payment and recommends suspension of HMO based on hospital policy on aging payments.
5. Prepares and submits statement of account to affiliated HMO regularly.
6. Coordinates with HMO Office to facilitate accreditation of new and existing HMO as well as distribute contracts to all interested medical practitioner for affiliation.
7. Review corporate reports to ensure accuracy of billing codes.
8. Responsible in overseeing all client authorizations from the Health Maintenance Organizations
9. Communicates with the referral source as needed.
10. Maintains excellent customer service relationships.
11. Maintain client record confidentiality at all times.
12. Updates the management for new HMO for possible affiliation
13. Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time
