Salary Range: 22,000 - 27,000 per month

*The Pharmacy Technician new hires are expected to work from home for the meantime due to COVID. Once everything is back to normal, the Pharmacy Technician new hires will be expected to report in our IT Park office in Cebu.
General Description: The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for performing intake of new patients, type in prescriptions, and process drug authorizations for controlled, specialty, DME, and even infusion medications on behalf of the onsite pharmacy staff and the provider that has sent them the prescription
Location: 8th floor Skyrise 4B Building, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret physician's medication orders
Prepare and package chemotherapy medications and other medications requiring special handling in accordance with safety measures process, prior authorization for medications, and other pharmacy related services.
Aid in filling, processing, and dispensing medications
Take inbound faxes from providers and type in the prescription on behalf of the pharmacy
Re-package and label medications, ensure controlled substance protocols are met.
Adhere to safety practices in order to ensure quality care for patients
Provide customer service by answering phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
Triage requests and prioritize them
Check for expiration dates on medications on a regular basis - Ensure that prescriptions are submitted via authorization "as written" by the provider, unless your client and/or state has a generic drug substitution requirement.
Requirements:
College Graduate of BS Pharmacy
Has pharmacy technician registration/certification
Basic mathematics skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure
Step therapy and prior authorization knowledge is required.
Effective computer and keyboarding skills 25 wpm or higher typing speed
Preferably with knowledge of pharmacy information systems
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Computer Literacy (Able to operate equipment such as computers, scan guns, tablet counters, and cash registers)
Familiarity with pharmacy practice settings, legal requirements and limitations, prescription information and calculations, drug identification and generic equivalents, drug manufacturing, packaging and labeling information, and proper drug handling and storage practices
