Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
2. Liaise with healthcare providers to ensure accuracy of prescription information
3. Release refill medications and over-the-counter products in accordance with existing procedures
4. Collect, organize and maintain patient information and profiles
5. Maintain records by receiving and recording/filing physicians' orders and prescriptions, and other pharmaceutical products
6. Monitor the packaging and labelling of medications and pharmaceutical products adhering to quality assurance standards at all times
7. Prepare billing details for medications
8. Coordinate with the HMO personnel regarding insurance medicine claims/coverage
9. Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs
10. Compound chemo meds and pharmacovigilance
11. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Licensed Pharmacist or Pharmacologist
2. Experience in compounding medicine (preferred but not required)
3. Knowledgeable of drug regulations, medical/pharmaceutical terminology and generic/trade names of commonly prescribed medications.
4. Newly licensed Pharmacist is encouraged to apply.
Work Location: Bay, Laguna (with staff housing provision)
