Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate educational in-services to other nursing colleagues who provide care to out-patients undergoing PET/CT guided procedures.
2. Perform nursing assessment and triage regarding patients' health concerns, treatment, diagnostic tests, medications, side effect and prioritized patient care needs.
3. Provide education to patients, families, and significant others, act as an information resource to students, health care professionals, patients, and the public.
4. Responsible for assessing and monitoring patients while in the PET/CT Center.
5. Responsible for administering the radioactive substances to patients, often done by injection.
6. Responsible for coordinating the provision of procedures and care within the center as well as performing, or assisting other healthcare professionals to perform, these services.
7. Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
8. Train and guide other nursing and support staff, trainees, OJTs engaged in clinical activities (when required).
9. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Registered Nurse (RN)
2. Experience in vascular and infusion nursing (preferred but not required)
3. Competency in the placement of peripheral catheters
4. With IV Therapy Training and Basic Life Support Training Certification
5. Excellent intravenous skills including starting, maintaining, and troubleshooting common intravenous access problems
6. Newly licensed Nurse are encouraged to apply.
Work Location: Bay, Laguna (with staff housing provision)
