Job Title: PCB DESIGNER
Job Description
 
The PCB Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in electronic products. This role works closely with electronics engineers and product teams to translate schematics into manufacturable PCB layouts that meet performance, quality, and cost requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design single and multi-layer PCBs based on electronic schematics and technical specifications
Create PCB layouts considering signal integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal management, and manufacturability
Collaborate with electronics engineers to validate designs and resolve layout issues
Prepare and maintain design files, including Gerber files, BOMs, and fabrication drawings
Ensure PCB designs comply with industry standards and company design rules
Review and support prototype builds, testing, and design revisions
Coordinate with manufacturers and assemblers to ensure smooth production
Maintain proper documentation and version control of PCB designs
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of PCB layout principles and electronic components
Proficiency in PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, KiCad, Cadence)
Understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, and grounding techniques
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Time management and ability to handle multiple design tasks
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
At least 2-3 years of experience in PCB design (can be adjusted based on seniority)
Experience designing single-layer, double-layer, and multi-layer PCBs
Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
Knowledge of IPC standards is an advantage
Experience working with prototyping and production environments is a plus
