PCB Component Engineer
PCB Component Engineer is responsible in analyzing and developing solutions to resolve issues associated with obsolete components and supplies and perform component specifications review to provide alternatives that can be used as replacements. He/She will coordinate selection of appropriate Electronics components to meet requirements. He/She will work with different design team, manufacturing teams and even vendors to resolve component issues. He/She is also expected to contribute to the improvement of processes to maintain the consistent component selection and ensure that component library always capture the latest parts statuses.
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field.
Good working knowledge of electronics components including functionality and classifications.
Experience in component selection and an understanding of associated issues to include obsolescence.
Able to interpret manufacturer's technical datasheets and understand specifications in mechanical drawings.
Familiarity in electronic symbols, component packages and Industry standards is a plus.
Experience in component schematic and footprint creation is an advantage.
Familiarity on PCB Design Processes, IPC standards and able recommend best course of action is an advantage.
Proficient in MS Office
