Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll and mandatory benefit government remittances and assist in the accurate calculation and accounting of taxes, which include, but not limited to, national and local taxes and preparation of returns including supporting documents.
Key Responsibilities:
Describe the tasks and responsibilities typically required in this role and the extent to which decisions might be made which will require interpretation/judgment. Degree of supervision over others is required in this role
Process semi-monthly payroll, and mandatory benefits in a timely and accurate manner.
Work closely with HR Teams to collect employee data and required personal documents needed for payroll processing and government contribution remittances.
Ensure timely and accurate computation and final salary payment of resigned employees.
Provide support for payroll and tax information requests and monthly/ad-hoc reporting requirements.
Respond to employee inquiries on payroll matters.
Prepare payroll & benefits forecast and variance reporting and maintain headcount forecast for the company.
Assist in the preparation of reports and financial statements.
Perform reconciliation and data comparison to ensure data correctness and accuracy.
Assist the Financial Controller and Payroll and Tax Specialist during audits.
Key Metrics
Cycle time to process payroll: 2 business days in the payroll process from start to finish.
Cycle time to resolve payroll errors: 2 business days to resolve payroll errors reported by employees.
Timely remittance to government agencies: 1 to 2 business days before the deadlines set by various government agencies.
Data accuracy: payroll and tax returns should be free from material errors or misstatements.

Qualifications, Certifications and Education Requirements:
Graduate of BS Accountancy, CPA is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years working experience in the field of payroll/taxation.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word software).
Excellent understanding of payroll process and statutory requirements.
Good knowledge of and updated on existing tax laws and regulations.
